History
In 1988, Kyung Chul Shin founded Yujin Robot because he envisioned a world where human lives integrated with robotic technologies in a way that allowed them to thrive and flourish. Yujin Robot has evolved with the robotics industry through more than three decades and has built robots for tasks such as soccer, social interactions, military operations, guidance and vacuum cleaning. With the success of its vacuum-cleaning robot (iCLEBO), as well as the Smart Automation System (SAS) business unit, Yujin Robot has received much attention within Korea for its years of research and development into cutting-edge technologies. In 2021, Sam Park, who has been with Yujin Robot since 2000 and has been its CTO since 2018, became Yujin Robot’s new CEO. Under Park’s leadership, Yujin Robot re-equipped itself with the addition of the Autonomous Mobility Solutions (AMS) business unit. This moved the company toward the B2B and global markets and away from its previous focus on the domestic B2C vacuum-cleaning robot business. The AMS and the SAS business units collaborate to serve the robotics and automation industries with their innovative logistics solutions.
