Advantech and Yujin Robot are joining forces to boost Internet of Things (IoT) integration in the robotics field.
According to a statement released on the 3rd, Advantech (CEO Jun-kyo Jeong) and Yujin Robot (CEO Kyeong-cheol Shin) recently met at Yujin Robot’s headquarters to formally sign the WISE-PaaS VIP Partnership.
The two companies plan to combine Advantech’s hardware and platform services with Yujin Robot’s robotic technology solutions. Their strategy is to lead the development of the global robotics industry by integrating IoT technology into the robotics field.
Yujin Robot has developed essential components for autonomous navigation and obstacle detection, such as LiDAR sensors, based on its robotic technology accumulated over the past 32 years. Recently, Yujin Robot developed a total solution called Autonomous Navigation Solution (ANS), which enables quick and easy conversion of manual mobile devices into autonomous robots.
"The remarkable versatility of ANS allows us to robotize products without needing to manufacture costly complete robots," said Seong-ju Park, President of Yujin Robot. "By integrating ANS with Advantech’s WISE-PaaS cloud and various IoT products, we aim to create an ideal smart factory that fully integrates and controls all operations."
