Starting in March 2022, Slovenj Gradec General Hospital in Slovenia welcomed a brand new team member. There were articles posted on the hospital’s website and local news sites. The team member’s name is Devžej. 

Typically, a new hire wouldn’t cause such a stir, but Devžej is no ordinary team member; it’s a robot. Specifically, Devžej is a GoCart250 created by Yujin Robot, who partnered with Slovenj Gradec General to bring robotic support to the hospital floor.  

According to Slovenian news site eKoroska, by welcoming Devžej, Slovenj Gradec General became the first hospital in Slovenia to use this type of robot for food delivery services.
