Yujin Robot, based in Songdo IBD, Incheon, announced on the 2nd that CTO Seong-ju Park has been appointed as the new CEO. Yujin Robot is a company specializing in autonomous mobility solutions.
Since joining Yujin Robot in 2000, Park has led the development of various robot products, including cleaning robots and the logistics robot GoCart. After becoming the CTO in 2018, he spearheaded the development of key robot components and solutions such as 3D LiDAR sensors and Autonomous Mobility Solutions (AMS). He is credited with transforming the company’s business model from a focus on finished product development and production to an AMS-centric business system.
Yujin Robot aims to evolve from a robot specialty company to a global solutions specialist, setting new paradigms in autonomous mobility technology. To support its expansion into the global market, the company recently hired executives with expertise in international sales and marketing. In January, Yujin Robot became the first company in Korea to acquire ISO 13482 certification for mobile robots. The GoCart 180 also received the same safety certification.
The company plans to launch around ten new products related to AMS within the year. Yujin Robot is currently preparing to produce mobility products that incorporate its AMS. A company representative stated, "We will collaborate with our investor, Germany's Miele, to drive future growth businesses together."
