Yujin Robot, a company specializing in autonomous mobility solutions, announced on the 19th that GoCart, its self-developed autonomous logistics robot, has become the first mobile robot in Korea to be ISO 13482 certified.
ISO 13482 certification, established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2014, is the international standard for personal service robots, focusing on functional safety. It covers mobile assistant robots, physical assistant robots, and rideable robots. Yujin Robot is the first company in Korea to acquire ISO 13482 certification for a mobile robot.
Yujin Robot's GoCart utilizes 3D LiDAR, stereo cameras, and ultrasonic sensors, all developed in-house, to analyze spaces, recognize people and obstacles, and avoid collisions by navigating around them. It can also integrate with Internet of Things (IoT) technology, enabling connections with internal systems in smart buildings.
The GoCart can be deployed in various environments requiring logistics transport and storage, including factories, hospitals, airports, and warehouses. The robot can autonomously call elevators for inter-floor movement and pass through automatic doors. The GoCart 180 (180 kg load capacity) and GoCart 250 (250 kg load capacity) are currently in preparation for mass production and are expected to be supplied to domestic and overseas partners as early as March.
